Hi, who happens to know the difference if so, in the upper strut mount set-up of a 94 960 to that of a 97 960?
The reason i ask is because i have an upper strut bar which seems to fit flush only onto the forward-most strut bolts of each side. From what i see the driver side has a smaller bolt that comes out but somewhat obstructs the bar from fully being put in place. Therefore, putting it at an angle downward towards the front allows for the strut bar to be screwed onto the forward-most bolt ONLY of each end. But, im wondering if it is safe for the bolts aand suspension? to screw on the nuts to the rearest-most bolt (bolts closest to firewall) of each side, but only screwing on nuts of forward-most bolts with the strut bar in place? So basically the strut bar is only held by the front end bolt only. This make any sense
If photos do any help i can take a pic to give some easier meaning to what im talking about.

Re: Strut Housing Question (RoLERoL)

Don't know if they are the same, or if this is any help to you, but here is a link to a pic of by '96.
http://rides.webshots.com/phot...Nxtmf
Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with a brace being held from one point on each side. If the plate doesn't contour correctly, it most likely will not provide the sought after results.

I actually had modify the strut mount plate-ends of the bar but it ended up sitting and fitting just fine. Ride is much improved because of it. Took pics of before and after to later demonstrate and explain. All aside, im far from my envisioning of the car
