Re: Strut Braces.... Noticeable improvement on turns/handling? (GShyneDM)

I have the Volvo OEM one. As far as regular day driving, you probably won't notice a big difference, it's on the track that you will feel a difference. However, when you take a tight turn at a decent quick speed, you will feel the car is a little more responsive and the turn is sharper. There is also less sway. It's great for overtaking slower traffic

Probably around $90-100, I think. I don't remember how much it was exactly but it's in that ballpark.

ALLOY STRUT BRACE.... is the volvo one heavier? less effective maybe?
i dont think it could be too much better except maybe its lighter....perhaps, otherwise.. for function, a strut brace is a strut brace, cant get stiffer or anything..

Dunno, paying for the advertising, polishing, etc? As far as I remember, the mounting brackets on the IPD one are stainless steel, wheras the OEM one is all aluminum. Maybe in the future (or when I win the $34M tonight ) I might switch to the IPD one cuz it looks nicer cuz of the polished look. Performance-wise, it should be the same.

not all strut braces are created equal. Omp is stiffer than the rest, it has one less joint and its steel.......

Yeah Abe Lincoln never said that his Proclaimation applied to strut braces, oh well. Lame joke, I know.
