Ok so since I last posted here, which was a long time ago, I have put Koni shocks and IPD sport springs on the car. I also got new tires for the car, now Im using yokahama AVS ES100's. Anyway, I was told it would be a good idea to get a strut brace, and so I tried ordering one from IPD, but they are out of stock, so now Im looking at other companies. Does anyone know if any of them are superior to any other one, and if not, is there any one place to check with the best price. Second and less important, since IPD seems to be the only company to offer anti-sway bars for the volvo's, does anyone know if and when they will have them for the 850 again. Oh well, maybe I will have to do without.

Re: strut brace (deleonl1)

I don't believe Volvo made an OEM brace for the 850, however they did for the S70. I don't believe it will fit across models in this case, as for what I've heard anyway.
Look into getting an OMP brace, they are a little bit of a hassle to install, but they only have one link (IPD, Volvo, etc all have two). One link is going to give you much stiffer performance...which is why you buy the strut brace in the first place. Also, I belive the OMP brace is somewhere around $130 in price.

Re: strut brace (854R)

Yea, I have an IPD one, just got it a few months ago. Also they will have the new 850 anti-sway bars in soon, they are currently working on the new ones.

Re: strut brace (chopper)

Volvo does have a strut brace that fits the 850 (I think it may have been for the 97 model year)-I have the part number somewhere, which I will post as soon as I can dig it up. It may also be compatible with the 70 series, but I will wait until I find the info before I stick my neck out any further.

Re: strut brace (volvofox)

Ok Ill double check with the IPD strut brace deal again, its odd, we ordered the stuff maybe a week ago and they said they didnt know when the braces would be in. I have been asking about anti-sway bars from them forever and its bugging me. The local shop wants me to get them, they say the difference is amazing and well worth the money. They were suprised that IPD didnt have them, I guess they didnt know about the remodel job or whatever. I hope they come out soon, I want them.
