I've got a low frequency whirring/groaning/rubbing noice coming from the left front wheel on my 1998 s70 T5. The frequency of the should directly matches the speed of the car. Drive faster and the sound goes faster. Slow down and stop, and the sound slows down and comes to a stop too.

Any suggestions about what to look for?

Thanks

Re: strange sound coming from the front wheels (koalb)

Does the sound remain when you apply the brakes? You may have worn pads.
Jack the wheel up off the ground and to spin it manually, hear how it sounds (if at all)

Good luck

Probably a wheel bearing

It's probably (and hopefully) a wheel bearing as said above but that noise could also be a worn out driveshaft which is a lot more pricey than a wheel bearing.
