So I'm driving home tonight and WHAMMO I hit a nice pothole (FFX County Parkway South between Burke Center Parkway and Ox road) and about 10 seconds later...blip, on comes the "Chassis Settings Service Required".
"Hmm", I think. "What have we here"? So I do a bit of experimenting and find the following:
1) 4 C light (Comfort Sport Advanced) still lit, which is what happens when I pull the wire off the rear accelerometer.
2) Unlike when I pull the wire off an accelerometer, pressing the 4C buttons toggles the light through comfort, sport, advanced. Hmm.
3) Cycling through the settings changes nothing but the light. I am in my "default" mode, same as when I pull an accelerometer wire.
4) One strange thing....when I got home I turned the car off and back on. The light was out. Later I went out again and the light was still off.....until I drove off, that is, at which point the light came back on. When I got back in the car to go back home, it did the same thing. Clear until moving.
So I'm guessing that I lost either a front accelerometer or another sensor from the front?
Wheel speed sensor would have given me the "Anti-Skid Service Required" message.
Strange.
