Hey need to pick your brains again, who makes teh stock radio for 1994 850 and intalling a CD changer, how hard is it to access the radio's rear to intergrate the CD? any special tools?
I believe its an alpine unit, or thats what changer works with it. You need the special interface cable to hook it up ($35+\-) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CODE CARD to unlock the unit after power loss! Check this article out at volvospeed and it shows you how to take the headunit out. http://volvospeed.com/Mods/antennasinstall.htm
Good luck,
As far as I know, the SC-8XX series are made by Mitsubishi and the SC-901 is made by Alpine, but like Austin said, they both use Alpine CD changers that need a special interface.
http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/ has the interface and just get the low end alpine changer with SC-81x radio with CD changer controls. There are some slits on either side of the radio towards the bottom. All you do is press them in and 2 handles will pop out. You just use the handles to pull out the radio.
