I bought a stock cat-back from a 2005 V70R to use on one of our P2 X70's. The studs for mounting to the converter were rusty
and I went to remove and replace them, couldn't get them out despite trying BP blaster, Freeze-Off, and finally a pinpoint oxy-MAPP torch.

Are these welded on at the factory? Any idea what size they are?

Soak it in PB Blaster for a few hours, hit it with some heat, and tap them out with a framing hammer.

Thanks for all the replies above. In addition to the penetrants and heat sources in the first post, I've also been using
a 10 lb sledge.

Impact hammer usually works nicely once you get the nuts off. I've managed to get good at actually removing the nuts that don't even look like nuts anymore. They usually have threads underneath.
