Last night my daughter and I went to Lowes to pick up a few small items and I had a run in with a gentleman driving an SL550. My daughter and I were returning to the car and this guy stopped as he was passing by my car, he rolled down the window with a grin on his face and told me that my car was the tightest Volvo he had ever seen and he was truely impressed. I have been very sleep deprived as of late with the new addition to my family and that comment coming from a guy driving an 80ish thousand dollar car made me feel pretty good. It always makes me feel good when people comment on my car or stare at it in traffic but this is the first time someone with a more expensive automobile has bothered to make any comment's about my ride.

Everything rocks except for the moose badges...sorry. I have a buddy who was crazy for miatas and he had a similar badge and we always argued about it...until his girlfriend said it looked kooky, needless to say it is gone now.

The red and black are stunning--and the grille really closes the deal

I think someone painted their fog grilles...
Me thinks you are right. I used the krylon Fusion paint. No chips so far and they were painted a year ago, right before Carlisle.

Definitely doesn't fit the Volvo stereotype does it? I still enjoy the compliments. A few weekends ago a guy stops me in front of the bar and is telling me all about seeing "Edward's car." I didn't have a clue then he tells me about the Twilight series. O.K. the point is he loved the R. I told him now he knows it's Carlos's car. Just goofy s#^t but happens all the time with this car.

I had a guy in an '09 STI stop me in the parking lot of the bank the other day...I was very impressed with the car and said he would rather be driving the Volvo than the STI.

I'd be will to trade him even for his STi...
