Every other day the tach needle will stay at 0 after startup, then twitch itself a few times and spring up to idle rpm....very bizarre, has anyone ever experienced this? I can see the dealer's face now...never head that one before, you must have been shaking your head around....
Thanks for reading.

Re: sticky tach on startup? (ollie)

I'd imagine you'd be having other issues if it was the crank sensor, but the dials on the P2's are all electronic, so it could be the motor going bad, which means a new cluster... If you're under warranty that is.
I have one of MightyQ's leftover clusters and could possibly disassemble the motor if that is ultimately the culprit (and you are not under warranty).
Could also be a sliced line/bad ground/whatever the hell else these cars have

Re: sticky tach on startup? (AthruC)

Thanks for the offer...the car is under the original warranty until Nov 11th. I imagine the tach will give up the ghost on the 12th
