Point me to a thread if one already exists. I did a quick check but didn't see one. The car is in the shop for several items, looking for a quick response to cut the dealer off at the pass.

ISSUE: while driving at constant speeds or putting around town the stereo volume and balance jump around. Only happens while listening to AM/FM. I can set it at a good level, then 5 minutes later, instead of all speakers playing at one volume, only the front right, or rear left speaker will be pushing sound.
It isn't the car adjusting volume to match speed (if it even has that) nor do I believe it is a wavering signal strength. It happens while I am sitting perfectly still by myself at a red light.
The dealer is also saying that the stereo doesn't work properly on the Dolby setting for AM/FM. For AM/FM, it should be set to 3 channel.
It all sounds like BS to me, but want to confirm with those who may have dealt with this before. When they called and gave me an update, they informed me the reason above. Hoping to get a bit of ammo before they call back.
Oh, and they told me it would be $260 for the AC software upgrade and $25 to flash the program controlling the front passenger window which isn't operating properly. When I asked about the warranty covering it, she didn't know the Volvo warranty was purchased through them.
Not excited about the service after the first 6 months with the shop in Colorado Springs.
