Im looking to upgrade my stock Steering Wheel on my 2002 S60.
Any suggestions?
I'm hoping to change from the old Black Volvo Logo, to the New Blue Logo.
Either changing the Bag (is it possible) or having to change the whole unit.
Also, can anyone tell me if this a job I can do myself, Can anyone recommend directions for the MOD or any needed tools?
ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!
Thanks-

"Wolfman" on the forum has a 2005+ Steering wheel with a old black logo airbag. he said its just plug and play.
Unplug the battery first, (look in VADIS for any fuse pulling when removing the airbags)
You turn the wheel 90 degrees to the left, then on the back side of the wheel there are two access holes one on top of the column shroud and another on the bottom, in there will be a torx screw, undo those and the airbag will come out, unplug the airbag and then you will have one big nut in the center of the steering wheel, put the car on the ground and use a breaker bar to get it free or impact gun. and just do that in reverse to install
Chris

Re: Steering Wheel Help (Cjones16)

C- Thanks for the response...
Can you explain again the part about the Fuse?? (look in VADIS for any fuse pulling when removing the airbags)... That one is over my head!!
So to understand.... I can use an 01-02 Wheel and Bag... I can use an 03-05 Wheel but the bag has to be from the same year.....
What if I took a bag from an 03-05 and tried to put it on an 02... Do you know?
Also, If you have seen the airbag (Off of the Wheel) you will notice "Tabs" on the sides or the Air-Bag "Cover".... Any chance I can just remove the "Cover" of the airbag and switch it with my old one??
Finally, Are you sure it's Plug-n-Play??? P-n-P to me means ALL OF THE PLUGS WILL MATCH.... UNPLUG the old one, PLUG in the New one.... All Done!! Are we on the same page?
Any one else have a thought?? Confirm or Deny??
Thanks again!!
