Mine went bad. I had a Volvo doctor determine that it was the same part number for several cars with same options and so he found me one from an xc90 in a car yard and it’s been awesome ever since. Mine acted up in hot weather. 35 bucks versus new. Winning!

Right? It pays to know the right people. Knowledge is power!
Essentially it was cost plus shipping.
Wow, $35! How good is that!!!

Cheap is relative. It will save you from mental anguish and from the dealer/indy $$$ if you can identify issues better on your own and then rectify.
I'm very new to Volvo ownership and have been struggling with issues that seem to point to the clockspring. I want to try to resolve those issues myself as opposed to just drop the car off at a Volvo dealership. Dealership servicing is very expensive in Australia. I bought a semi professional scanner which is a quite capable unit but not as good as a VIDA/DICE set up. I'm now contemplating getting my hands on one but I know it wont be cheap.
