First time posting to this remarkable forum that has been indispensable as I made the transition from my much loved 2006 X70 2.4T to the 2024 XC90 T8 one year ago.
Instructions from the dealer provided by a member of the sales department were extremely brief and lacked detail. The onboard user manual can be hit or miss unless you use their specific terminology.
Thanks to Swedespeed, I have been able to gain quite an understanding of the very basics of this very high tech car, vastly different from its predecessor. Thought I would post my most recent statistics for comments, and to say how much I appreciate having this great resource, and how much I love my XC90!

Many thanks, love bypassing the gas station for 2 months or more. Need to plan some long trips with charging stops along the way as this car is such a pleasure to drive!

I have no idea how this car, weighing 6499 lbs, can be so efficient. We did a 220 mile round trip, did 100 of those miles on ICE with battery on hold, and for that 100 miles doing 65-75, the mpg was 33.1. How is a mystery to me!

When in hybrid I favor B but will use D to coast on a long hill. I was unsure about using B when on battery hold as I didn't realize I could still benefit. Big duh on my part! I don't do much in pure. Maybe I should!

We do frequent short trips to Boston of 150 round trip, and I find that my lead foot is less of an issue now that the focus is on sustainable efficiency. It helps to have all the numbers right there in front of me which was not available in the 06!
