I have sitting on my table a stainless steel air filter from Evolve. They threw that one in along with the air filter that was used on the blue car. Don mentioned that he didn't recommend the air filter for daily use, because it's harder to clean. It just looks so darn cool though. Why would it be difficult to clean I wonder?

I'll take pictures when I'm not feeling lazy.

Basically, it looks like this one, except made of stainless steel:

Oh by the way, I have that turbo pipe too. I'm debating whether or not to install it.

Get 2 conical filters and swap/clean them as-required.............. but what keeps the water out?

I have this shield thing that goes over the top of the filter, and there are holes at the bottom of the air box for the water to drain out.

I have both the blue and the stainless steel filter so I could actually swap them out pretty easily.

Cleaning is a snap. wash under the faucet and shake dry. Let it sit for 1-2 hours so it is completely dry. Then spray light oil "pre charger" mist on, it wait 30 minutes, put it on and roll. I have used these filters for 5 years, they clean up great. Only needs cleaning every six months. Every three months if you drive on dirt roads. Hope this helps, Rick

the air coming from in this setup? It looks as though the front Intake "vent" has been removed. So either the hood vent or there is something under the airbox we can't see (like R Kelly's DIY CAI)?
