So I travel nearly every week for work and rarely see an R--last one was a sweet FG VR in Alpharetta, Georgia a few weeks ago. This week I was in St. Louis and although I had no R sightings, I was shocked to see a Bugatti Veyron sitting at the entrance to my hotel. Seriously, who parks a $1.5 million dollar car in front of a Drury Inn? At any rate, a unique sighting to say the least, thought I would share.
Finally figured out how to post the photo--I guess it's all about reading the instructions.

Modified by scrandall at 11:41 AM 7-9-2009

Re: St. Louis Business Trip - R Sightings ZERO, Bugatti Veyron Sightings ONE (scrandall)

This is a big Volvo town, though few enthusiasts and even fewer Rs. Midwest kinda blows for Volvophiles compared to our friends in the east. I see more VRs around town than SRs; mostly driven by soccer moms who have no clue what they have. There is a Wash U. student in my neighborhood from VA who has a red '06; someone who works at the Parkway elementary school on Ross Ave. in Creve Coeur has an 04 VR parked out front every day; there are a few silver ones with the body kit I've seen around Webster, and oddly enough there are two kids who work at two separate Waterway car washes who own SRs; there's a magic blue '06 parked on the side of the one in Chesterfield on Olive Blvd, and a red '04 at the Ellisville location. Any of you guys on here? I've seen the kid with the '04 at West County Fitness on occasion when I lived out there; his friends enjoyed knocking my 940 every chance they could. That was before I got my R, which has about $15K more in mods than his

Also, the Drury is an outstanding chain of hotels. When I was a director for the region's Better Business Bureau, Chuck Drury won our highest honor for offering an outstanding product & equally good customer service.

Finally figured out how to post a photo--a moron no more! Yes, the Drury was acutally a very nice hotel with great service. It also didn't hurt that the nice girl at the front desk was hot.

A bunch of techs at Plaza Motors in Creve Coeur also own R's.
Nicky Suntrup has a Black Sapphire/Atacama VR.

I never could figure out why Plaza never became a Volvo retailer.. Kind of strange we are the 6th largest metro area in the nation and only two separate retailers (though one has two stores).. Also, I never could figure out the folks across the river. There are quite a few Volvos over in IL, yet not one single retailer.

There are a lot of SMALL (as in 5 or 6 new cars a month) Volvo retailers in Illinois--- a lot of them are Lincoln-Mercury-Volvo triples.
