I was reading this thread http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=63525 trying to figure out how to tackle the squeaky sway bar issue before I install my Evolve springs and F/R SB and I got to thinking about how to make the contact point between the bushings and bar as friction free as possible without compromising the integrity of either the bar or bushing itself. What about wrapping some Teflon tape between the bushing and bar as well as the supplied grease.

Sell the Evolve ones and buy IPD ones.

I second that. I switched to IPD. I got the Evolve bars before IPD comes out with their. If you grease the Evolve bar to stop the squeal, the bar start to slides from side to side and it rubs the lower control arm and the rear ride height sensor with lowering springs. The 1st gen sway was designed for 04, not sure if the current design correct all the fitments problem.
I had an 05 and KillerB has an 06.

I'd get the IPD if i did it all over again.
I've spent about 900.oo all together to get the EVOLVE sways to stop squeaking. Labor time at dealer 180 dollars to reqrease and inspect bushings...a trip to EVOLVE in Monrovia, free...trip to Power volvo to trouble shoot, 280 dollars, trip to Zens to replace bushing, 404 dollars...and now a new strut will be needed at 700-1200.
when this is all over with...priceless. Yes, you too can join the fun if you like.
It's funny after numerous trips to regrease and to replace the the EVOLVE bushings...that it didn't stop until I replaced the bushings with IDP's...that's got to say something with a signature like mine....

and if your still thinking of the EVOLVE bars...call Scott over at IDP and order the 25mm bushings at 50.00 dollars. The important thing is you get it done with someone that can do the job in about 3-4 hours. Anything more than that will tell you that they are not very good. Zen does the front and rear in about 2 1/2 hours. They have the right tools and know what they are doing.

They have since redesigned the bars. The biggest change is that the bar is no longer ajustable and the rubing issue should disappear with the additional holes gone. The biggest issue that EVOLVE need's to tackle is the bushings. It's a consistant complaint with everyone and they only address it with more grease.
