Hi everyone,

So the other day I noticed that my car would occasionally stutter when idling.

I know it's not the MAF, I changed that in January and cleaned the idle control valve at the same time.

I was running the champion iridium spark plugs.

And thought that was the problem.
Switched them back for Bosch copper.

While changing the plugs I noticed that my engine cover pinched the number 5 spark plug wire and cut the insulation.

Would a cut in a spark plug wire insulation cause my engine to stutter like it was going to stall? Or was that more due to the spark plugs?

Thanks

If the insulation is not insulating, that wire is pretty much worthless.
The high voltage that runs through that wire will take the least path
of resistance and ground right out. That will absolutely affect the
strength of your spark. And stick with coppers on a turbo.
