A follow up to this thread.... http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=116026
So, I couldn't wait for the weekend to install my new CF engine covers from Carbonfiberwerks. In the process, I also installed new oem spark plugs purchased from John @ BVV (he was the only person out of 2 other volvo parts places to identify the correct plugs for the R http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif John).
Here's the outcome:
Some notes:
The spark plug swap was straight forward. Followed this thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=77211 I used dielectric grease and some anti-seize also. My only issue was getting the OTE pipe off at the V-band. Guess my plugs have never been changed (makes sense 54k) since it needed alittle prying/twisting with a screw driver to come apart. Other than that, no problemo.
On the test drive the car seems noticeably smoother and more responsive. I'm really impressed that the plugs could make such a difference! A definite must for those with 50k+ miles!
