A follow up to this thread.... http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=116026

So, I couldn't wait for the weekend to install my new CF engine covers from Carbonfiberwerks. In the process, I also installed new oem spark plugs purchased from John @ BVV (he was the only person out of 2 other volvo parts places to identify the correct plugs for the R http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif John).

Here's the outcome:

Some notes:

The spark plug swap was straight forward. Followed this thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=77211 I used dielectric grease and some anti-seize also. My only issue was getting the OTE pipe off at the V-band. Guess my plugs have never been changed (makes sense 54k) since it needed alittle prying/twisting with a screw driver to come apart. Other than that, no problemo.

On the test drive the car seems noticeably smoother and more responsive. I'm really impressed that the plugs could make such a difference! A definite must for those with 50k+ miles!

Looks like the colors are slightly off or is that just the angle? What do you think overall? The "R" definitely makes it look better

Looks great! Goodonya!

Now just buy the billet oil filler cap to break up all of the dark cf and it will look awesome.

Thanks.

Yeah, I'm alittle poo poo about this. I just (about 1k miles ago) replaced my oil cap with an oem. I wish I would have known about the group buy one!

Looks awesome...
I was also curious about the yellow bushing and for the most part my question was answered, Though is it softer durometer than the black or blue bushings floating around from other companies? http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Thanks!

I believe, but not positive that I remember reading somewhere that it was comparable to the Evolve blue. Again, I'm not 100% on that tho, maybe someone else can chime in.
