I was driving through a toll booth, and went to accelerate out and a sound "puuummmffff" and my car felt like it was a 4-banger?? WTF happend? It like I don't have a turbo? So I'm waiting for Volvo on call to send a toe truck out :/...but what happend??? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0">

No, haven't done a new fmic yet nor did it through any lights...but funny u mention about the fmic, I went to the bank earlier today and came out with a watery substance all over the ground...didn't think much of it, and turn on my car and in red it said "coolent low...stop safely" so I'm like WTF, I park and open the hood and the cap too the coolent is loose? So I get some at advantage auto, top it off and I'm good to go. And this happend...annnndddd 2 days b4 i had a warrantee "oil vent box" replacement done...would that have helped? Maybe the dealership didn't put something back together?

My guess is that they forgot to tighten one of the ote pipe clamps no big deal if thats the case.

If it's charge pipe, nothing to worry about. Just tighten it back up. It's a very annoying thing to happen though, since the engine is always too hot to fix the charge pipe on the road.<br>

yeaa..i hope its a simple little thing..i just got a call from the "import car store" in melbourne fl, and they did a visual and didnt see anything, but they have to put it up on the lift...also the volvo store where my vent box replacement was done was notified and they are following up with the dealer soooo...idk :/

The weakest charge pipe connection is at the throttle. A quick shake from above tells if it's out. This connection has to come out for the PCV job, and it's very easy to install it incorrectly because the plastic is so thin. <p>

hmmm well i just got another call, and there saing its the fuel pressure valve....? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/confused.gif" BORDER="0">

My vote goes for the charge air pipe going to your throttle body from the IC. To change your PCV system, they had to remove the intake manifold and therefore that pipe. <p>Once again The Volvo Store, ftl.

Don't let them sell you a load of shiznet that it's a part that needs to be replaced, like a sensor or some crap like that. It's a way for them to get out of admitting they screwed up and also getting more coin from you.
