Ok, so here's the deal, ever since I got my 2.4i I've wanted more power or at least the ability to get more power. It was a gift from my mom so I don't want to seem ungrateful, don't get me wrong I love my volvo and it was awesome when i got it, but I love cars too much to have 170hp on paper. I'm headed to Ohio University next year then Georgia Tech for the remaining four so I am somewhat of a broke college student. I thought about trading my car in for something or equal or lesser value, something along the lines of an s4 2.7T or some VW turbo. The other option would be to save up for an old muscle and work on that over time, the only good side to this is the fairly inexpensive parts but anything I can afford will be more rust than car. This is basically a big suggestion box. I know I will be at school and won't have a car while I'm there, but some tell me I'm crazy lol, that would make my life so much easier.

Re: Someone help me out.... (GetDown)

What you need to do is save up, find a T5 in the same color scheme and trade your car in for that. Debadged I doubt your mom would know the difference, thus solving the dilemma of offending your mom and getting you more power.

Thats a good idea, I forgot I posted on Swedespeed lol. She doesn't mind me trading in my car i don't think, she just doesn't care about whether my car is fast or not or to spend anymore cash and a car....

Check the vwvortex classifieds. If you're looking to make decent, affordable power a vw might be a good option.
I was able to do just that on a broke ass student budget with my 2001 GTI.

Re: (GetDown)

lol if you need any vw help give me a shout (I'm under the same name on the 'tex too) and have a rather extensive vw history
If you've still got payments on your car, it is my understanding that you can still sell it. I guess you'd just put the money from the sale towards your remaining payments or purchase another car and then finish paying off what you owe on the former car?
