I would like to have the same hayaku wheels that BIASED_WAFFLES is running on his VR, but I would like a bit of a stretch on the tires I choose. Would running a 205/40/18 on a 8 inch width give me good results? or could I move up to the 9 inch width wheel without rubbing? I would like the look to be like this:

Instead of giving flak for the desire to stretch, my main question is why, with the emphasis on WTF?

Looks like ass as well as being bad for your tires as well.

just some exploring, I do not want anything ridiculous like vw's that get slammed and everything, but I'm keeping thick sidewalls so it should be okay.

and lets be honest, it won't be that much of a stretch I'm not wanting to slap a spare tire on or something

well, I may need to get my fenders rolled and pulled because I'm getting V2's this month and its going down, alot

I run 205's on a 8" wheel but its only because I pretty much have to or else it doesn't fit.

Regardless, I pretty much have nothing but dislike for Volk products, I can only imagine how bad a replica of a horrid wheel is.

I've run 215s on 8J wheels in winter, and it doesn't look stretched at all. If you're going to do this, you need to go 205 or less. The definition of hard-parking/useless modifications though, compromising the single (well, four) component of your vehicle that touches the pavement.

Ditto. Have look. 215/50R17 Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 on 17x8 Pegs.

I think I'll just go with the 215's then. Don't want to look like an xc or something but still functional

17x9 hayaku's fit with no modifications (no spacers, etc). I'm sure 18x9 are the same.
