This must be some sort of karma revege or something (Gen V is awesome i take it all back! :D )

I was looking at the front today and noticed this. Its Litterally behind the plastic dispite how much it looks on the outside. Do you think that since this occurred the seal went bad and would count as a warrenty item? If not, would anyone happen to know if these can be open and resealed with common tools? I have to get a better look tomorrow to see if it has cracked with that mark on the right.

It turns out it was a spider.

Uhh, I have NO idea how you could get this cleaned (perhaps try the dealer, it shouldn't take too long to clean the inside of a light fixture right?) but I want to know more about what you said about Haldex Gen 5. Could you explain where you got to test it? Thanks! And I wish you luck on getting that cleaned by the dealer! :D

Is that dirt dry or (looks like) stuck on...
can you remove the light or gain access to the inside of the lens?
Maybe a long Q-Tip with a little Windex?

When I bought my 06 S60 their was a small dried out dead spider in the headlight housing - I asked them to get it out before I picked up the car.
What they ended up doing was pulling out the bulbs and pumping in some compressed air - I guess it flew out one of the bulb holes cause it was gone.
Now I have another bug in my rear taillight - guess I will have to fire up the compressor.

Good luck

I finnaly got around to the dealer as i need front brakes.

They said, the compressed air wouldnt work since its sealed, so they ordered a unit to replace it stating it must have been in there since manufacturing...

I didn't expect much but I also didn't expect them to replace it. Should have a new one within a week :).

Fried spider... he he.
I wonder what would happen if one got inside and crawled across the City Safe laser on
the windshield?

I had a spider in my car for a while since I would have a web across the steering wheel
at the end of the day (for about a week). I think the "heated desert" of the car's interior
eventually did the spider in :)

City Safe relies on more than just the single laser input for taking any actions, so probably nothing. =P

What did it eat? Crumbs between the seats?
