I had to get the inspection sticker for my new R... Of course I'm little paranoid about keeping it clean. Previous owner took a great care about the car and I'm literally feel like I have a brand new one, the way it feels inside..
Anyway, can you imagine my horror when the tech offered me get out of the car so he would get it into the bay. Should I say that he looked like he was changing the oil last five years in the same jumpsuit and was sweeping chimneys in a spare time. I refused and asked him to change or let me drove the car in. I was really polite and added I don't have anything personal but I doubt if he would sit in those pants into his own car. He walk away and came back with another tech who was looking little bit better but no way I would let the guy why is doing brake job without gloves grab the steering wheel in the R.
Anyway I left and while I was driving around looking for cleaner place I got the idea. I went to AutoZone and bought seat cover, steering wheel cover and rubber floor matt. All together was around $30 as I bought cheapest things.

Anyway, here is how it looked then I went there... Boy, I'm so glad I found the solution...
really glad I didn't forget to get the floor mat

After...

Hope that is an independent mechanic. If Superior Volvo ever returned either of mine dirty like that, I would send it right back in. Mine ALWAYS comes back cleaner than it went in, except the R, it's never dirty.
