And will their be a diesel-hybrid with electrical possible?????
What all this talk about the s90 will no longer have to follow a car in front? What does that mean?

I'd like to get the 2017 XC90 ASAP!!! Come on Volvo. Speed it up a bit. and fix that average side collision stats so it at least is as good as the old model.

The side torso score in the new XC90 is "acceptable." It was "good" in the old XC90. The new XC90 is the only 2016 mid-sized SUV the IIHS has looked at so far IIRC to not score "good" in that category.
Half of all automotive fatalities in the US are run-off-road accidents, yet no one has addressed this problem. Not the government regulators, not the large bloated car companies. But only tiny little Volvo has. 10Gs is normal for these accidents, but the front seats on the XC90 will absorb half of these G forces, reducing the force on your spinal column to 5Gs. Yet you concentrate your attention on the the 'acceptable' rating on the side-torso 'subscore' on the XC90??? Unbelievable! But yet, your beloved Toyotas STILL have two models that score 'marginal' on the 'small overlap crash test???

The Adult Occupant NCAP rating on the XC90 is 97%. The only car models that came close to this is the Mercedes GLA-Class (96%), and the Mercedes GLC (95%). Not to mention that the new XC90 was the only model to get 100% on safety assist systems (anti-collision). If you want any credibility on this website, stop with your nonsensical statements about Volvo safety.
