Well I can only guess:

rare?

race?

radical?

gotta funny story in case anyones listening...

Back in like 1989 I was traveling cross country in my 86 GTI and happened to be in Myrtle Beach.

At a redlight I wound up next to a black dude in an OMNI GLH...

We both had windows open so I yell over "hey whats that GLH stand for???"

He chuckled and said " good long and hard "

Ahhhhhhh then he asked me about GTI.

I said (boy was I a quick thinker back then ) "good ten inches"

We both drove away laughing.

The R stands for Racing...

Volvo "R" models are a tribute to when the 1994 Volvo 850 wagon created racing history by being the first wagon ever, and Volvo's first car entry ever, in the prestigious BTCC, the British Touring Car Championship. A Volvo 850 wagon also was the first Volvo to be entered in the Australian Super Touring Championship.

BTW, doesn't the Dodge Omni GLH, stand for "Goes Like Hell"? The GLH-S was, "Goes Like Hell, Some More".
The GLH had 146hp and the GLH-S had 175hp with 12psi of boost, 0-60 of around 6.7 seconds and 14.7 1/4 mile. Pretty good for 1986!

Ahhhhhh the elusive yellow wagon -

My wagon has it's IPD modified ECU back in but I have not registered it and am in no rush. This thing has never seen salt and I'd love it to be NEXT Winter before it does... our 2 other daily drivers developed rust bubbles this season!!! Ughhhhhhhhhh

hate it.

I have a guy willing to pay TOP DOLLAR (like $13K) on my 1993 VW Westy Weekender and I'm entertaining selling it.. but cannot think of life without a weekender.
