Smoked my tails and installed the boot lid spoiler over the weekend. I'm not really loving the tail lights...

What do you guys think? Back to stock or keep the smoked tails?

I like them. How would you go back to stock? strip the paint off? i really want to do mine but worried that i wont like them afterwards! Where did you get the trunk lip? That looks good! I saw some on ebay but didnt want the hassle of fitment issues and painting it to match.

It looks clean man, maybe throw up another pic from the back showing both lights from a distance, but it looks good in that pic.

If you used the spray tint you can remove it with extreme Goo Gone.

I think on a black/darker car they would look good, but I think the best look for your car is a medium smoke, that would match your car color pretty well. It would be smoked but not blacked out. Less likely to attract the eye of the law as well.
That said, it is kind of hard to remove the VHT (assuming that is what you used) if you sanded or primered the lights in any way. Otherwise some paint thinner might do the trick. Good luck!

I actually got it off eBay painted (it's a perfect match) and shipped for something like $96! I love the spoiler. The sellers name = agp168168. Got it in less then a week from Taiwan. As for going back to stock tails I was just planning on buying replacements... (about $103 each) I put about 4 coats of clear on over the VHT and I seriously doubt I'd be able to remove it.

They don't look bad, and definitely not worth $200+ to replace. If you end up not liking them enough just trade with another person who has the identical stock tails.

get some black wheels with a silver lip & as USAF 2010 T5 (what a nickname, hehe) said, tint your windows.

Im not a fan of smoked tails on anything other than black, thats just me though. Brings too much attention to the lights. I prefer just a light smoke for gun metal cars.

I dont think its worth having to buy another set though...
