I bought my 2005 S40 through the overseas delivery program (military sales) and just had it shipped to the states. I thought I remember the car being "ready" for Sirius satellite radio. Volvo told me this option was not available on 2005 cars. Did anyone else get this option on their 2005 S40? or am I dreaming? Thanks...

Re: Sirius Sattellite Radio (HuskerFan)

My understanding is that true sat. ready (and wired iPod) is only available in the (old) CAN based cars like the V/XC70, S60, and such. Sat ready for MOST based cars like the new S40/V50 means that you can use an FM modulator in the car. That's mobile electronics progress in the Volvo world for you. The '07 has an external 1/8" phone jack input, of course mine will be one of the last '06's!

What is a good Sirius Sattellite Radio option for our cars?
