I was searching the volvo website for xc90 accessories and came across the following:
http://www.volvocars.us/models...s.htm
Sirius, Satellite Radio - $520.63
Sirius satellite radio provides the very best in radio programming delivering over 120 channels of digital entertainment directly to your Volvo. That includes 65 channels of commercial free music in a wide range of styles, over 55 channels of world class sports, news, entertainment, and continuously updated traffic and weather. Volvo provides an integrated solution that utilizes the existing radio as the satellite radio interface. Simply use your existing radio controls to scan the wide variety of channels. Note: Only available on specific 2005 model year vehicles. Price may vary for vehicles not pre-wired for satellite radio. For subscription plan information, please visit Sirius at http://www.sirius.com.
Does anyone know what this means? I have an '05 and wonder if Volvo is planning some retrofit or if this is some error on their website. I called a Volvo personal shopper about 3 weeks ago and was told that Volvo will not be offering any retrofits for any models. My gut tells me I am still out of luck.

Re: Sirius Satellite Radio available on specific 2005 models (jjd416)

This may (big emphasis on _may_) refer to other models. I know that for our MY05 S60, there was an option for "satellite radio preparation" which we didn't get.

The retrofits are strictly for the S60, V70, and XC70 models.
