Hi there,

I'm not concern about "regulator" part but graphite brushes live span. Car has 220.000 miles and I'm going to keep it for a while.. On my former 740 regulator went when car had about 200k miles - because of contacts were totally worn.
Does it make sense to replace a voltage regulator because of mileage? On one hand it doesn't, on another - the car is off the road and I don't need to do additional work to get to the generator - serp belt is out already and I have DD.

Thanks

Not sure if they're as easy to get to as in a 200/700, though...

Yeah, not sure. Can someone comment on this? Don't want to take intake off..

Are you saying that there is a possibility that I cannot even take the generator apart to replace the regulator? I actually didn't look into this procedure yet..

Thanks for headsup. I'll probably ignore it for now and will deal with it if it happens. Car is sitting to long already..
