Hi,
This morning I picked my V70R from the delivery point in Paris (OSD) and drove it to my parent's house 500Km away. On the highway ("Autoroute") everything was fine but once I got on the local roads which have many speed bumps I heard the crunchy sound characteristic of the shipping spacers. Once I reached my parents' house I checked and sure enough the spacers are still there on the front springs
. Without jacking up the car, I can't get a good look at the rear suspension so I'm wondering if I should expect spacers in the rear as well or if they are just in front.
Aside from this driving the R is a blast! I kept it at 130-140KPH and under 400RPM and all is good!
The only cars that passed me were a BMW530 and a Ferrari F430

Re: Shipping spacers, only in front? (dwegmull)

For my S60R, I only had a pair in the front when mine came with that "feature".

The spacers are in the front only.

Nice to se that the dealer incompetence knows no international bounds.

The spacers are a line item on the Pre Delivery check list. You may want to ask to see that list and ask what else did they get paid to do, and not do.
