For any one who has an automatic S60 R with an automatic transmission, when using the tiptronick should you push the gas or let up like on a manual transmission?
When downshifting to engine brake, apply a little throttle to avoid jerking the car. You'll know when you get it, should be smooth. When shifting up, ease off a bit unless you're already really into the throttle at high RPM's. Hope this helps.

You want to shift up 1st to 2nd then wait a second before letting off the throttle and getting right back on it. The trans will shift up right on time. The lag between 2nd and third is a bit bigger so you'll need to get a fell for that.
When downshifting, shift down, wait a half a second and stomp the throttle a bit and the trans will catch and provide "engine brake". Oh yeah, make sure to buy and mount and elevate sport exhaust for proper effect too ;) nooooice!
