hey guys, just going to ask a quick question about the shift knobs in a 2001 s60. I really want to replace mine with something a little more stylish and better looking since the leather on mine right now is starting to fade. I was wondering how to properly get the knob itself off. all I keep finding is just to pull as hard as you can, so if theres a better way id like to take that route. one more thing, where would I be able to get a shift knob. Im trying to stay away from universal, so I would really want something that is made for Volvos, but I cant seem to find anything. please help me out with my next project!

Well, I've only replaced the shift button- that assembly pops out of the front I tried pulling the whole knob off but had absolutely no luck. I know that's how it's supposed to go but it didn't seem to work. Depending on your budget there are plastic or aluminum trim kits that stick right onto the knob or you could wrap it in vinyl.
