It's been a while since this topic has been discussed, and I'm wondering if these kits have held up. There are probably some readers whose kits are now 3 (or more) years old and I'd appreciate your comments, before I make a purchase.
Thanks!

Re: Sherwood/B&I Wood Dash Kit Updates? (chicagoxc90)

I have had the B&I kit for over 2 yrs now and no complaints. There has been no fading peeling or distortion..
.I am still psyched that I got mine on E-Bay for ~$35.00, that was a major score... Maybe I got a good deal to make up for having to replace my CD Changer 3 times...

Todd

remember you also dont have to buy the entire kit. You can buy only the pieces you want - at least for the Sherwood kit...
cheers.

Mine has been there since day 1. That was 2 years and 3 months ago. I have to say it has held up very well. I had the wood grain also on my Explorer and that is still on there after over 6 years.

My B&I kit still looks great after more than 2 1/2 years.

Re: Sherwood/B&I Wood Dash Kit Updates? (Colorado XC90 T6)

Thanks all for the feedback. Good to know that the kits are still holding up.
Don't mean to hijack my own thread but....Todd, are you still on your original Nokian WRs? Did you get them from Tire Factory? My OEM Pirelli Scorpions did quite well last winter (Chicagoland), but they were nearly brand new. So planning to replace with WRs before next winter.
Thanks again!

They are at ~23K miles and now are down to ~4-5mm of tread depth from the Original 1mm when new. I bought them from a local dealer in Colorado, Poudre Sport's Car in Fort Collins, CO. For the last 12 mths, I have lived in AZ, VERY HOT. Temp in the car today was reading ~118. The tires seem to be holding up well, but you might want to start a new thread and get some more opinions on them. I love them for their snow abilities. I was in Park City this past January and was in VERY difficult conditions. The tires do very well, but may be overkill for the the well-plowed and over-salted roads around suburban chicago...
Start a new thread and let's what everyone else has to say...
Todd
