I've noticed over the past several years that there aren't any San Francisco/San Jose Bay Area Volvo clubs or anything of the sort. Sure, there is the Northern California Chapter of the Volvo Club of America, but with the exception of one event (the Elk's Lodge in Palo Alto, CA back in 1996) the events always seem to involve miles and miles of driving (such as the Davis, CA meeting). Are there any Volvo enthusiasts who live anywhere in the SF/SJ area? A Volvo mechanic friend of mine and I played around with the idea about five or six years ago of starting a Bay Area Volvo Club, but the lack of Volvoheads (most Volvo owners here just own a "car", according to them) around here kind of hampered our developments. So, speak up if you are interested. Maybe this could happen within the next year or so.
-he who stacks pork

Well, there are a hell of a lot of Volvo drivers in the Berkeley/Oakland area.
And I'm one of them.
Sure, I'm in. I work in Mt. View... so anywhere in the Bay Area works for me.

Hey! Don't forget me. I'm movong to SF in late May and will have what's left of my 850 T5 with me. I'd be soo happy to meet some Volvo pals once I'm in town. I'll have to learn the area but will be willing to meet ASAP.
Prospero

It's all because of McKevitt in Oakland and Berkeley. Berkeley is where I got my S40.

Possibly sometime this summer we can all put our heads together and come up with an agreeable time/place to have some sort of small-scale Volvo-related event.
-he who stacks pork
