I just took it in for service at my dealer, could they have forgotten to reset it?

All it said was "time for service".

Isn't there a way that l can do it or do l have to go back?

P.S. Noticed you have an '05 S80. If the reset procedure for the 2002+ doesn't work, then you're going to have to call your dealer and either ask them or take it into them (btw, I would complain bitteryly for your inconvenience).
