We just received a letter from Volvo regarding my wife's XC60: "Volvo has identified that the AWD function in your Volvo my gradually degrade over time due to a software calculation issue. This condition may result in a gradual reduction in torque available to the rear wheels. The corrective action is to perform a software upgrade to the Differential Electronic Module (DEM)". That is a direct quote from the letter and it refers to all 2013-2015 S60, XC60, V60,S80, and XC70 vehicles. The fix it to contact the dealer for a software upgrade. They also allude to some parts that are needed.
