I just replaced my alternator and noticed that the two belts were slightly different lengths- my local parts supplier says they are different part #s but I went to order them online elsewhere and they show up as the same
05 V50 T5 AWD- if that makes a difference- once my local puts in m66 manual about all they show for parts is wiper blades

They are different.

Alt: 30777531
AC: 30777530

You can find aftermarket belts based on those parts.

That's interesting - i went on Rockauto and found that there are 8 belts on there that say Alternator AND AC. There are 23 total though, so the other 15 specify either AC or Alternator.....

So looking at these guys:
Alternator belt is 35.624" outside circumference
AC Belt is 34" outside circumference.

I got interested so I started digging up the highest duty rated belts I could find (because I'm that kind of person) and found that the following belts are from Gates (who was bought out by a chinese company a while ago and some of their quality has gone downhill so make a decision at your own peril).

Alternator belt is K050350RPM (Direct fit).
AC Belt closest is 34.25" outside circumference K050336RPM (.25" Oversized).

Here's the two part numbers with descriptions. Same throughout all P1s. Only thing that changes throught the years is the tensioners.
