Hey has anyone in this forum attempted to install the sensus connected touch to their newer S60/V60? I found the parts number in the Volvo accessories page for the kit.

I'm just debating if it's worth it to do the install, I mean if it enables me to start my vehicle in the winter with my cell phone, beats installing an aftermarket system.

It will not work on a model earlier than MY15.5.

I was told my 2012 could be fitted with it?
Someone gave you the wrong info. Why don't you install the Engine Remote Start accessory if that is your primary motivation?

Sensus Connect, offered on the 2015.5 models, is different than Sensus Connected Touch (SCT). SCT is a Parrot based touch screen system that can be retrofitted into your 2012 according to the Volvo accessories page, but SCT does not support remote vehicle start (like the new Sensus Connect can) and SCT does not interface with a smart phone except to connect to the internet using the phones's personal hotspot.

AeroDan, thank you for clarifying my (as I see it now) confusing answer; my mind was focused on the Volvo On Cal and Connected Car part of the Sensus Connected Touch (which cannot be retrofitted).

Volvo could have done a better job naming their products to avoid confusion. Like keeping the T5 and T6 badges for the Drive-E engine. It takes a lot of reading on the Volvo websights to keep up.

that makes more sense. I looked into connected tuch as a way of getting navigation, but the price turned me off. I'd spring for the polestar flash before this.

We're pretty happy with the SCT navigation on our 2014 S60. But if all you want is navigation, you can either go portable (Garmin) or smart phone waaay cheaper. It's just not integrated into your dash screen.
