Okay, on my 95 850 T5, there is a sensor in the "fresh-air-hose" that goes directly from the airbox into the intake side of the turbo. There is a large 1/2"+ diameter hose connected to a rubber elbow. This sits on top of the sensor in question. Anyone know what this thing is there for and why the setup is different for the newer T5 engines? My sensor is bad, I think and I can see oil collecting on the rubber elbow indicating it's demise as well. Any ideas about using the fresh air hose from a new C70 or similar?

Thanks in advance...
