Re: SEEN IT (dpinto1)

I saw one on Friday driving west on 119 from Big Dee, so I'm assuming they have a demo.

it was the volvo sales reps. hear that cars are being held up at the port.

They were released to the transport company, today. Everyone will have them by Thursday or Friday.

Re: SEEN IT (GrecianVolvo)

Finally!!

I left a message with the local dealer (I had spoken with the salesman before) saying I wanted to schedule a test-drvie when they came in. So far haven't heard back from him. Hmmm....

Re: (VolvoLT)

They are in the Northern Virginia area now. Don Beyer Volvo in Alexandria has a nice looking silver one with all options except heated seats. They have 8 slots, have sold six. Of the two available slots as of Saturday, one would be coming in mid-July, and the color I liked, Celestial Blue, in late September.

I decided not to buy (sorry, Yannis and Bob!), which actually was a big surprise. I thought I'd be all "gotta have it!" But no. I didn't like the noticeable turbo-lag, the strangely springy feeling of the brakes, the heavy, ponderous feeling, the somewhat light and disconnected steering.

Really, a gorgeous, comfortable, safe car with a lot of good features, but the driving experience just didn't do it for me.

I think it's really strange you feel this...
I don't have it on my 7Y old low pressure turbo. Did you drive a manual or an automatic?
