Been on a S40 hunt for quite sometime now and is getting closer to summer which was my goal to have the car by. Diggin the pegs for winter wheels, looks like rear lip spoiler, and MOST of the trim kit... wonder if the fronts been wrecked and thats why its missing the front lip.<p>Was going to get the Heico anyway but still im not buying wrecked car or dirty titled car <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/sly.gif" BORDER="0">

I've noticed a large number of S40s with the DTP missing the front lip only.

If my eyes don't betray me that is NOT the OEM trim kit, but the MS Design kit. I should know since my car is running the exact same configuration right now, missing lip and all! Get that car, it is sick! And we all know my front lip goes very well with the MS Design kit. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0">

iirc that s40 has the angel eye LED diy setup...i can't remember the username right now though. <p><br>/edit<p>nvm the one i was thinking of is in portland

The one with angel eye's belongs to Mao (Mao'sS40 or something similar). it also has the evolve kit. <p>ForceFed, it looks like one of the cars that H&M Motorsports in oregon made. They're S40's are known for the MS Design kit (with Grille and rear wing) and 18" Pegs. The web site in the add says they will run a carfax report on the car. Any word back from them yet?<BR><BR>

Just out of curiosity, do you not have an S40 yet? I would of swore you already had one. And why an S40 instead of an R?

Nope i dont lol. Just been on here helping others since i have a lot of hand on experience with volvos being a tech at King Volvo.<p>As for why the S40.... i like the look and feel of how they drive. Not a huge fan of the S60 body style nor the manual trans either. My wifes not really into the 60 and if shes happy then i can spend more <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0">

But on the manual trans, you do know the R and the S40/V50 have the same M66 unit, right? The shifter is spaceball on the R of course.<p>Tom.

I cant stand the looks of it. But that's about it. The pre-face lift S60's are really bad but 05+ are a bit better. Going from a honda power junky to a S40 is enough of a transformation lol. All my buddies including my brothers at 2020 Motorsports (shameless plug lol) thought i was crazy until i showed them some pics and what plans i had for it and they came around.

Holy poop, a bellingham resident! My friend just had his WRX into 2020 for some body work and I live in the house a guy who works there used to live in (i keep getting his mail). <p>edit: and yes, 2020 does amazing work!
