My driver's seat moves a little bit when accelerating or braking. Just a small shift forward or back. There was a bulletin way back that called for a seat strut to be installed to remedy the problem. The original owner could have had it done in warranty, but did not... The strut itself is a little pricey and the install does take a bit of time. Just wondering if anybody has found a cheaper/easier way to fix this issue???

NOPE,
It's the only way to do it.
The part is about $200 or so and about a bit less than an hour or so labor.
It really takes that long, you have to take the seat back apart
My mechanic modified one a bit for my 850R the difference is unbelievable, even he said he could not believe how this made the entire car so much better to be in.
I've done about 4 of these now and it works

Re: Seat Strut (JRL)

Thanks for the replies.... I guess I'll tackle it monday. I'll take some pics (this is assuming I do it right) so I can post the install....

Interested to see how you get on. I'm getting really tired of the little rock back and forth when I come to a stop.....
