On the back of my passenger seat, toward the center of the car, there's a small lever. What is it?
Possibly related(?):
I had a passenger complain about the seat seems to shift a tiny bit when I accelerate/brake and there's a squeaking coming from the seat when there's a passenger in it when I hit bumps or undulations in the road. Any ideas?

Re: Seat questions - lever on back, not staying still, squeaking. (mattdoc)

Sounds like they are experiencing some movement in the WHIPS system. Unfortunately thats normal although i get that as a complaint pretty regularly. Theres a TNN regarding putting some felt tape in between the joint but im pretty sure thats to correct a knocking noise not a squeak but you never know. Might be something to mention to the dealer next time your there for whatever people do at the dealer lol

Isn't that the lever that folds the passenger seat flat? There are two, one on either side of the seat. Maybe one of yours is just broken and not locking?

I forgot about the fold-flat. For some reason, I assumed it was one of those cool euro-only features like manual headlight height adjusters. I'll check it out later today.
