I would think you could get them at a Volvo dealer. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Volvo putting them on all of the new 40s in 2002.
Did they change the headlight design when they updated the S40? I don't think they did.

Hey Don,
Are you selling the blackout turn signals too?
Also do you know if the the rear lights are different on the SE compared to the regular 2001 S40?
-Geoff

I have ordered the blackout turn signal lenses and will post them on our auction as we have for the headlamps. As far as the tail lights, I am checking on those, but with the limited information that even Volvo gives me for the U.S. market, I don't think anything changed for the tail lights.

Ok Geoff, the blackout turn signals are up on Ebay with our other blackout headlamp auction. Only bad thing about them is that they DON'T fit the 2000 S40 like the headlamps do

Why are you putting those on Ebay? Why not just give the price and sell them without making people bid and wait?
If I want to buy something, like a car part, I want to know the fair price, order it, and have it on my doorstep 3 days later.

Jonathan....I totally agree with your opinion about being fair and letting anybody order the parts directly and anyone can. Here's the deal though. On my end, I currently have about 20 people wanting these lights. The SE is a limited production car in the U.S. market. Volvo sometimes is funny with allowing dealerships to order parts of a limited edition car for use on other cars as they did back in the mid '80's. The whole idea is Volvo doesn't want to have other S40s riding around looking like an SE simply from buying the parts to convert it to an SE. What would be the point of manufacturing the SE car and creating a sense of "limited" if another S40 zooms by you on the road that is not, but looks like it? From my standpoint and from yours, we both say, "so?" It doesn't make sense, but Volvo sees it differently.
So considering this, from a parts end, we have very tight restrictions on getting the SE parts and may not be able to sell many if a "red flag" goes up after selling 20 sets of blackout style lights when our store was only allocated 1 SE car.
I am not putting these up on Ebay to have the Sony Playstation mentality. We put them up there for people to know WE stepped up to the plate and aggressively went after getting the information AND parts available for people that were asking. If you have ever dealt with me before, you will also see that I give you everything you need should and when you need it....part numbers, full pricing and our pricing, bulletins, recall campaigns, etc. Getting parts on your doorstep in 3 days is very possible and cheaper with us without having to leave your chair.
I hope this maybe clears up why we put them on Ebay and if there is anything else I can do for you, please give me a call or email
