I've noticed lately a really bouncy feeling in the rear of my 04 VR.
took a look behind, under the car, and the rear looks far lower than i had previously observed. here are a few pictures.
does this look right??
i went to play around with that rubber piece. it looks as if its holding together my rear suspension...

Actually, that rubber piece is the exhaust-hanger mount. Can't help with your other questions, sorry.

I think you are refering to your exhaust hanger... They are pieces of rubber that connects the exhaust to the body... That would in no way affect ride height but as they wear... and they do the exhaust will begin to sag lower, so replacements will eventually be needed. This could be the problem of why you think it looks lower... Take your R for a spin if it is in fact the suspension two or three sharp corners and you will know if the suspension is acting up...

Yeah wheel gap pictures would tell the story about sagging. LOL @ playing with exhaust hanger.

Bouncy feeling = side hop.
Search around. Essentially it is squirrelyness in the rear (is that a word?) caused by weird camber changes from the rear suspension.
Alignment, better tires, will help.
