04.03.01 <P>Saab's March 2001 Sales up 41 Percent<BR>* Saab finishes first quarter 16 percent ahead of 2000 * 9-3 sales up 55 percent over March 2000 * 9-5 sales up 22 percent over March 2000<P>NORCROSS, Ga., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Saab Cars USA, Inc., the U.S. importer and distributor of Saab 9-3 and 9-5 automobiles, announced sales of 3,177 cars during March 2001 -- a 41 percent increase over March 2000 (2,255 cars).<P>Saab sold 1,990 Saab 9-3 models, a 55 percent increase over last March (1,281). Included in this total are sales of the 9-3 Convertible, which outpaced last year by 29 percent (851 vs. 661).<P>In addition, Saab's 9-5 model had another strong month with sales up 22 percent over last March.
