Hi folks!
New to the forum and not the best english.
Just bought the family a used 2018 S90 T8, and have 2 questions to v90/s90 owners.
1. The car seems to have (from my point of view) pretty much corrosion under the car, especially in the weldings and the bottom plate. This is not a problem now, but i tought this looked like to much rust for a 3 year old car, was wondering how others s90/v90 owners cars look like at 3 years age, and if I should be worried. Plan to have this car for 8-10 years. The car has been driven on norwegian roads with salty conditions wintertime. (I have a 30 day agreement with the dealer that i can deliver it back if im not satisfied, so i can take it back to the dealer and get another car if i want to, but I else love the car and would like to keep it if its not serious. I might be to worried? What would you do?
2. The car also has a rich unburnt gasoline smell coming up from the small ventilation holes on top of the the right front wheel, this is where the auxilary heater sits. The smell comes after running the Auxilary fuel heater. When I stop the car/heater, it takes a minute or two, and the gasoline smell comes. Sometimes its pretty bad, and i can smell it from distance, other times I must put my nose down to the vents to smell it. Its not the smell of exhaust, its a unburnt gasoline smell. And it only occurs after driving/running the auxilary heater. No smell from other places in the engine bay, im 100% sure it comes from the small vent holes over the right front whell (inside the engine bay) Se picture. Those of you who have a auxilary heater, does yours smell like this? No sign of leaking gasoline under the car. Only the gasoline fume.
Thanks for any advice!
