Hi,
I tried this on my dealer today, and I asked him to enable "Automatic Locking" so that my doors all close once I reach a speed of > 5 mph or so.
He tells me it is Impossible. 'Can not be done, either in European or American versions!'
Is there a list available with all "VADIS" functions? And is there indeed a difference between the European and American cars, other than default settings?
By the way, the performance of my remote entry system varies with the quality of the batteries in there - typically 40'+ though ;-)
Please advise,
Thanks, Antoon
S80 2.5 Diesel, '2000

quote:
Originally posted by InDy:
Doug,
I am not sure if you know this, but there is a long list of things that can be programmed for the S80. The dealer can use the VADIS computer and interface the S80 computer to change specific owner preferences. Things like light delay (30, 60, 90, 120 seconds, day-time running lights (ON/OFF), heated seats time, measurement units (English/Metric), and lock programming. In your case, your dealer can program your car so that it unlocks all doors with one press of the button. One press of the keyfob and armrest buttons will unlock all the doors. I have heard that some dealers charge for this service, and others do it for free. This can be done *for sure*. Hope this helps!
