Just in case someone experiences battery cable problems.........
After replacing our 2000 S70 GLT SE's alternator and battery the voltage still was below standard. This problem was caused by a defective positive cable connector. Instead of spending $410 at the dealership for the cable with installation I opted for a much less expensive solution. The positive cable connector was replaced with an generic aftermarket unt at a cost of about $70.
