Not to be dim, but can people wax mechanical about the differences between the two - apart from the number of doors? The specs seem to be in the same ballpark (give or take) but I don't know enough about the numbers to interpret them deeply. Hp vs. torque vs. weight - those sorts of things. I figured the folks here would have some real insight.

There is a ton of information on the S60 and C70 at the VolvoCars.com website. You can find exact specs and dimensions there. One thing that you should remember is that the C70 uses a modified chassis that dates back to 1991 from the 850. The S60 is uses an all new very rigid chassis off of the P2 platform. It is really hard to compare the two cars, because it all depends on what you you are looking for in a car. Both of them are two very sweet cars. If you could be more specific with your questions, and I am sure that more people will be able to help.
-Drew

Well I have both, a 2000 C70LPT and the S60T. For me the performnce is about the same, I like the coupe and being limited production (nice to have a car not everyone has) and my wife likes a car with 4 doors. I believe I have the best of both worlds. We have been driving Volov's for 25 years, so it's really a matter of you want 2 doors or 4. I would not trade for either car.
